JBA or Doug Thorley shorty headers ?

Have installed Magnaflow catback exhaust, now thinking of adding headers....will they void warranty? I like the JBA shorty headers or the Doug Thorley shortys One better than the other? what about install..which seems to have few problems? Would appreciate your coments and concerns about their addition Thanks mjstroh

Indeed, shorties can help, just not as much as LTs. At least on the 3.6 we've seen gains!

Bad install is what is causing the codes. You have an exhaust leak for sure that is letting fresh air hit the 02 sensor and there is the light.

My buddy had the same problem and when the shop checked out the install we found out it was not sealing all the way. Make sure you reset your PCM.

My JBA's keep throwing a CEL as well. I've had them checked and rechecked and been unable to find any leaks. I would go for Doug Thorley if I were you.

I still haven't seen a CEL with my dealer installed JBA shorties after 7k plus miles.

Just may be lucky but from all the reports I would go with the DT's. They look to be an all weld install and would be less prone to leaks around the stacker clamp that the JBA's use.

Forget the dyno, you look to be ready for the 1/4 mile.

We need more folks on the V6 fast list. You would certainly have a weight advantage over the fellows there.

I need to lose a pound or 30.

Thanks 67, I may have to give the 1/4 mile a try. I will be up at Heartland Raceway on June 16 for a track day (this month's got rained out), hopefully they will have the drag strip open as well.

I really want to get a smaller and lighter wheel/tire setup but I don't like how much gap that creates in the wheel well- not a lot of affordable options out there right now anyway.
