If you are going to let them do the work, I would watch them like a hawk when they install the new sway bar. The front bar can be a little tricky, and if they aren't careful as they have already proven, there is alot of other things they could possibly damage. There is no reason for a welder, torch, or grinder to be anywhere near your car for a sway bar install.

Talked to the owner and he was a stand up guy.
He wasnt pissed cause he was the one that told his mechanic to do this.He said bring me in the original bill and i will reimburse you fully for the costs..
...He appologized fully and repeated that if they would have broke it and told me to come back in later we have ordered the part it would have been better business practice.
well i get a free lowering spring install out of it (be it with minor annoyances ), but end link gets put on next few days and bill is reimbursed.
343.47$ (including price of allignment).

Well that at least is a positive note!

I remember the Earl Scheib commercials. They were a kick. I wonder if they ever did sell a $99.95 paint job exactly how many feet that paint job actually lasted!

My Chevy dealerships won't TOUCH and aftermarket part. It's pretty sad really.

But, OP, I looked around for someone to install my springs and sway bars. I got everything to them asking if they come with instructions, to not knowing what sway bars were. Eventually I just said to hell with it and did it myself.

It really is hard to find a good shop that knows these cars.
