FYI. The dealer told me it would take 2-3 weeks to get the parts.

Came in today! They are usually pretty swift about things but communication lacks. That what I get for not wanting to drive across town I suppose

My original pad bubbled on my 2012 and I had it replaced about 6 months ago and now the replacement pad is bubbling. Seems like there may finally be some traction on solving this problem? Nevertheless, it seems I have to take it in yet again. I know the Florida sun is brutal, but I hope this won't be an ongoing issue forever.

I'm debating on whether to take mine in now with the summer heat for the 2nd replacement or wait until the fall and get it done.

Mine started bubbling last fall just before it turned cool. Over the winter the bubbles disappeared and so far they have not returned. They probably will before summer is over but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I live exceptionally close to Dale Earnhardt Jr. Buick GMC Cadillac here in Tallahassee (they also own the Chevy dealership across town) and I mentioned the bulletin to them during my recent oil change service on 6/8. Part arrived last Friday and I have an appointment tomorrow to get it installed (was out of town for Father's Day weekend).

Will let all know how it goes but I'm not expecting any surprises. Good dealer to work with so far.

Add me to the list of bubbling dash leather. Just had mine in today and they're ordering the part. Probably get it replaced next week.

Brought mine in today for an oil change and showed them that ref doc...waiting now to see if they will make the change.

In the mean time they seem to have a new guy here driving the cars to the back. He stalled my car twice trying to move it in front of me and the service area. Revd high the 3rd time to get it moving..I had to let my tech know. You can't have these guys learning manual on customer cars.
