Texas Motor Speeway Road Course 23FEB19

We are looking to rent out Texas MotorSpeedway's infield road course for early next year. Below is information as we have now defined.

Who:
This will be ran by the car club "The List". All makes and models, even motorcycles will be able to participate in this event

What:
We will be running multiple groups of cars, dependent upon skill level.
For example:
Beginner:
Intermediate
Intermediate+
Advanced
(All subject to change)

*Instructors will be onsite to assist anyone who wants to improve their driving skills, NO extra charge*

At max there will be 8x cars allowed on the track at a time and we will not have any passing for certain levels, more details to follow

When:
February 23rd (SAT.), 2019

Where:
Texas Motor Speedway which is located North of Fort Worth. Event will be on the in-field road course which is a 1.3 mile course, please see the attached picture for reference.

Price/Timeline:
4 Hours of track Time: Translates to 4-5 track sessions. Need minimum of 28x cars at price of $150 to be a viable option. Will cap off max participants at 40x cars.


Money Collection and Weather:
ALL MONEY will be refundable if we do NOT make it to 28x cars paid for the event. Once we hit 28x cars, the voted upon date will be locked in and all whom have been paid can not be refunded.

Weather:
Once a date is locked in and we have paid and weather (rain, snow, tornado, etc.) causes the track to not be a safe environment for us. Texas Motor Speedway WILL RESCHEDULE us for another day at no additional cost.

Other:
- Driver will need to have their own helmet
- No passenger
- Motorcycles can not run with cars at the same time
- Victory Circle will be open for pictures

Sequence of Events:
Step 1: Vote for track day (Poll open from 15OCT-15NOV)
Step 2: Collect Money (15NOV-JAN1)
Step 3: Secure track (JAN1-5)
Step 4: Create Plan among club presidents (JAN 5-Till complete)
Step 5: Execute the Plan (FEB)

I am keeping registration open as long as possible. If it closes because we reached numbers and I need to pay the track, text or call me and I can probably fit you in. I have wiggle room on numbers for last minute people who are really committed to doing it. Currently i am 50% paid 14/28.

Ok, I’ll get in on this. Any details on paddock parking and where we can pit?

Dang. This could be fun. I'm already running at Cresson in Feb, MSRH in Jan, if I book this my wife might get a little fussy lol.

Talking with the wife now! I had a great time at Cresson keeping all the 6th gens at bay.. and I've only done oval TMS!

Those details are still being worked out. i will look to see if the indoor pit shops will be open. Of course, the entire parking lot next to the infield road course will be available. Thank you for question, give me a talking point with the track.

Wow, I want to do this but alas car is not ready yet. Needs brakes (upgrade that is, old track car taken by Harvey). still throwing money at the house.
