camaro ss brake pads

the time has come for new brake pads, I was shopping around and ran across advance autos Carquest platinum pads. has anyone used these pads with success?i want to know if they're better then the ac Delco pads in the stopping power department as I admire its "stop on a dime" ability.

if you search around the forum here, you will see a lot went with the Hawk Ceramic Performance pads. I ran them for 8 years and had zero issues with them, and a whole lot less brake dust.

I am not familiar with the Carquest pads.

+1 on on the Hawks I've had mine on 35,000 miles and no problems. And have run Road cource track with them about 5 times..

+1 on the Hawks pads, way less break dust than OEM. I have painted calipers and they are not covered in break dust nearly as much as before.

The 2 that I keep seeing people suggest are either the Hawks and powerstops. I'm leaning towards trying the z26 powerstop pads myself.

+ whatever number we're up to +1 for Hawk Ceramic!! I'm running them and I love that I don't have to clean my wheels every 200 miles anymore.

I am using the Powerstops right now, no complaints. I have ran 2 track sessions, 1 was at VIR, and gave them a workout with all the long straightaways. Had no brake fade at all. Very little dust.
