Painted My Calipers With G2

Just finished painting my calipers last night with the G2 kit. I went with red, I think it turned out awesome! I ordered all black decals to put back on them to make them look OEM. Name: 71E08DBC-25FB-4AA2-B7B2-4BEFFE2B090A.jpg

Thanks. It’s definitely not perfect but it’ll hold up for a bit and maybe if I like them enough, I’ll get them powder coated. The G2 kit is just too cheap to not try.

Thank you! And the prep took a while, it’s a 2010 that has never had its calipers cleaned before. It took me the G2 supplied brake cleaner bottle as well as 2 more I had to go out and buy from the store. The paint took a little as well. I did four coats on all calipers (wanted to do 5 but it got too late) all in it probably took me about 4 hours.

Looks great!

I went and had them color match my car paint and it came out looking awesome. Definitely the best paint option if you aren't going to get it professionally powder-coated.

The G2 paint is a brush on self leveling paint. Very durable stuff and goes on thick.

So I just put the caliper decals on and misplaced one a tiny bit. Is there anyway to take that off without damaging the paint? Everything I’ve seen online says something about sanding it off. I’m assuming that’s for baked on decals. If not, no big deal, it’s probably just my OCD and only I’ll notice it.

You can carefully remove the sticker letter by letter without hurting the caliper.

I really want to do this this winter. Hopefully I can find the time and patience to actually do it. Planning on orange, since my car is inferno orange.
