New R1 Rotors and Ceramic Pads Loud Squeal

Recently installed R1 Geomet Rotors and Ceramic pads I followed their bed in procedure as best as possible living in the city. I have developed an embarrassingly loud squeal as soon as the brakes get some heat in them. It started after @ 150-200mi. Is this normal, or is there something I can do? I had no squealing with my factory rotors and Brembo pads. Really makes stopping not fun, especially in the convertible.

I have the same issue. They stop great, they look great, but the squeal is absolutely driving me crazy.

Mine squealed like that for about 500 miles. Keep them clean and it should go away

You can’t have a dust free, noiseless high performing brake pad. There will be a compromise somewhere.

Try applying anti-squeal lube.
