For those of you who have it installed, have there been any issues with it since it does not contain the small slit like the factory gasket? My car is mainly street driven so I don't foresee any issues, but I'd like to make sure.
I installed the Dorman #42072 over the summer on my 2015 ZL1 (A6) as the OEM gasket was allowing the brake fluid to leak out.
Been monitoring it closely and no leaks at all with the Dorman installed.
I cleaned the brake reservoir and the painted surface below it after installing it too.

I have run the Dorman for about 5 years, NP.

Thanks for the responses guys!!

Good to know no issues, and the gasket is holding up.

I just put one in yesterday more as preventative maintenance. The base gasket is thicker so when you screw down the cap it seems more of a correct tightness to make a seal. I'm thinking the thinner gasket might also leak moisture into the fluid even if I didn't see oil dripping down. Worth the $7 to me.
As a reminder don't throw away your cap this is the replaceable rubber part that clips into the cap only. The upside you retain your OEM looks and quality plastic cap.
