Thank you. it will take a lot of work to recover from it but I will. thanks for staying with the thread! after its running I'll forget all about the shortcomings. welcome back

thought I'd throw this one in there to show just how big this charger really is.

got the motor trans out today. also cut some core support out for better airflow to the turbo. gonna drop cradle and organize the mess.

the fittings for the feed/drain we're the wrong ones even though they were listed for it. I ordered the correct ones from wolfe racecraft. I about shit when it was $71 for 2 fittings lol

And holy crap, keep children and dogs away from the front of the car when it's running... This photo.... dahhhhmmmmmmnnnnnnnn. Good thing the screen is on there... at WOT you might suck birds out of the air...

thanks guys!

got the cradle and gas tank out. immediately noticed when he did the cage that he burned through the gas tank which does still have some e85 in it. he's very lucky the car wasn't burned to the ground

so I managed to figure out how to pack a chute. it's a pilot chute so the spring goes in the bag last. I will be switching to a launcher style eventually for sure. I noticed after actually sitting inside the car that somehow when the shop had it they managed to scratch the hell out of the windshield. I will be having that pulled shortly and cutting the factory dash out. managed to find a vfn fiberglass dash locally for $150 brand new.

purchased a tig welder so I'm going to attempt to learn that machine. I currently have a Hobart 210 mig welder but it seems like I only use chromoly, stainless, and aluminum anymore. plus it looks nicer. I will be making my own chromoly steering column as well. going to try and get as much weight as possible off this car

had a buddy come pull the windshield back out. makes things a lot easier at this point. ended up cracking it so I will be going to the optic armor front. picked up the fiberglass dash, and started stripping the interior. going through pulling airbags/speakers all that jive. hoping to get this car as close to 3200-3300lbs with me in it.

torque convertor came in, looks to be very well built.

hoping to pick some more pieces up soon

What the hell? We ALWAYS removed the tanks when welding in the area like that...

Damn!

I'd be sending that pic to him and saying he's lucky to be alive... Plus a few choice words...

finally got around to touching the car again. mounted the ecm using rubber isolators. mounted the dbc gas pedal. been thinking on how to do the dash support bars/ mounting pads so I can still get to all the wiring. going to get some longer/bigger diameter chromoly to do that with.
