New 3.91's

I swapped out my 3.45's for 3.91's in my M6. I'm not noticing much of a difference. Maybe a little. Do the gears need to be broken in before you see the extra torque?

No - the change is immediate. I would be a V6 would stand all the gear you want to throw at it - like a 4.56.

I have an SS. I haven't gotten on it extremely hard yet. I'm not saying I don't notice a difference. I'm going to change the oil this weekend. I'll get on it good this weekend and see how it goes.

????? For me the change was MASSIVE and IMMEDIATE! You sure you got 3.91's? As for breakin, baby it, etc..less than 500 mi and I was at the 1/4....at 1k did a fluid change...I also did a lot more to the diff than most and have already gone back to the 1/4 for a 2nd(and last for the season dammit!) time...is the car tuned and did the tune get updated to correct speedo(and fer me dynoSteve's tune tweaks a whole bunch more)?

Yeah I've got it tuned and headers and the gears now. I got the speedometer recalibrated. The change is much less dramatic with my manual compared to an automatic.

well it would be...3.27 to 3.91 vs 3.45 to 3.91...plus auto 1st is lower so take off is stronger...good luck...
