Tire Recommendation for Supercharge car

Hello all,

I will soon be adding a S/C to my camaro, and I will be making around 550rwhp.

This is my daily driver. During the winter, I use the Blizzak's Ice and Snow tires.

As of now, I have firehawk wide oval A/S on the rear (good thread left), and Pzero on front (low thread). I was wondering if you could help advise one of the following options

1) Purchase 2 rear (305) Nitto 555R, and put the rear tires on the front.

2) Purchase 2 rear (275) Nitto 555, and Goodyear Eagle F1 for the front.

My goal is to obtain a tire that will give me good traction with 550rwhp, this is NOT a track car. However, if I happen to be driving in rain I still want a tire that will get me from point A to B. Finally, I want the best combination of price/longevity for the tire.

Thank you,

Robert

I have 315s out back and 285s up front and the car sometimes still gets loose. Don't get me wrong I've yet to go sideways punching it but I'm putting down roughly what you are and still break loose. I have Pilot Supersports on all 4 corners BTW

Is it safe to put the rear tires off the 9" rim onto the front, which is only 8.5"?

Mickey Thompson Sport Comps are great and very affordable. I have them on my ZL1 and traction is terrific.

don't do Mich PSS! I'm L99 (auto) and I can spin 295/30s like nothing... and I don't have a SC!

Nitto 555s or Nitto NT05r

Is there a significant difference between Nitto 555R and Nitto555.

The R series will be bad on a daily if you drive in the rain. I would pick up the nt05 it's what I have and they do pretty good.
