Just finished putting in the MGW shifter tonight. Would of been sooner but UPS likes to deliver to my house last on the route :( Anyways car shifts much better but isn't 100% notch free. Next step will be to change out clutch/brake fluid with synthetic. Not sure if there is anything else i can do to get my car with notch free shifting. If anyone else has any suggestions i'm all ears.

I was just reading your thread. I'm very interested. In the thread it said you weren't taking any more orders but then you had a link to your shop site and it has the SS modified clutch master cylinder for sale. I'm assuming it is for sale? How hard is the install and how hard is it to completely bleed the air out?

They are still for sale, you an purchase either by paypal or through my website.

The first time you change one it may seem difficult, it's really not just have patients. i can do it in 10 minutes. The V6 camaros are easy to bleed , the bleeder is very accessible. Take your time and bleed the system the same way you would bleed bakes. Watch my videos for reference if you need to. The links for the vids are on the first page of the " project master cylinder thread"

we usually bleed them then let the car sit for five to ten minutes and then bleed the system again just to make sure all the air is out.

I have the SS model. Is it much harder to access the bleeder versus the V6 model? I guess same question is it hard to change out the clutch master cylinder and bleed on the SS? Thanks.

I am sure that the new master cylinder would help but at this point, with 17000 miles, the damage to the gears has already been done.

I just ordered the modified clutch master cylinder. I've already done the tranny fluid switch to synthetic, then a few days ago switch the shifter to a MGW shifter, now i will change out the master cylinder. It shifts better with each step of changing things out. It's still not perfect and may never be but i'll change out the master cylinder and switch out the clutch fluid with synthetic and i think that's about all i can do. Hoping this will eliminate the notchiness completely. I will give an update after install.

I had a 3rd gear grind until I installed a hurst short shifter and also replaced my master cyl to the idealg master cyl. I love it. And I also drag every friday and 3rd gear was a pain in the ass, much much better now.

Also, a friend taught me how to shift with intention and really yank on the shifter for a fast transition. After a few shifts the small notchy feeling that was left is now gone.
