To be fair, my 2011 is one year old, so it weathered the rest of the summer from July last year, and then this year, we had 40 days in a row of temps well over 100°F... just saying!

Find a wrecked camaro in a salvage yard and give the guy a $1 for it.

That's why I just said probably.... This could actually be his 3rd summer, but I don't know that as a fact.

My car is a 2010 so its gone threw a couple of summers.I keep up with the interior I've always been careful when using the knob.I never said that the heat was the cause of this. The guy at the dealer just came to the logical conclusion that it mite have been the heat.

Going to look for a wrecked camaro isn't a bad idea actually I mite go do that!

You shouldn't play with your knob so much...next thing you'll be telling us that you're growing hair in your palms and that your eyesight is going bad. Now your DIC...well that's a whole other story...it's designed to be played with and has multiple options when properly manipulated.

Posted in another thread, I have the same problem. Just curious if you were able to pull off the covering from a wrecked Camaro, if that worked?

I am not sure what to do, but agree it looks awful.

Was your dealership able to address the volume knob issue for you? Please let us know if you get a new Camaro!

Mine is coming off too... 120,000 miles on mine.

Anyone found a part # for a replacement?

I've had my radio replaced TWICE... And it's going to happen AGAIN before the end of the summer. The volume knob is made differently than the other knob. Not sure why it rubs off and wears loose. Sure is annoying.
