Get yourself some green high flow cats and you'll have zero issues I've had the kooks green cats and 1 7/8 headers for about 5k miles now with zero problems.

I have a 2013 SS. I have TSP full length headers and no catalytic converters. I simply removed the rear O2 sensor harnesses from the pigtail at the car.
Yes, I have a check engine light, no, it doesn't seem to matter. The CEL is next to the seatbelt light that's always on on mine anyway. Air/fuel ratios are fine, in fact even better than before; around 12.3:1. So I don't understand why everyone insists you HAVE to have a tune (unless your state won't let you pass inspection with it on; we have no inspection here). I picked up over 30 rear wheel horsepower.

If you have any questions or want clarification from someone who's actually done it (and had dealer service and no warranty issues) feel free to message me or email.

My fav Google tip is to type site:camaro5.com <insert key search words here>

The "site:<website address>" tells google to only show results from the given domain. Works better for me than using the search tool on the site (and it's MUUUUUUCH better than trying to search while using the Tapatalk app...their search feature sucks). So taking your question for example, make your search as follows:

site:camaro5.com headers warranty

And on that note...welcome to Camaro5!

OP, if you have headers and HF cat/catless extensions installed, then consider your warranty voided. And to all those saying it won't void the warranty, I dare you to take your car with headers to the dealer and see what they have to say about that. Read your service contract. If it says that "ANY" performance modification will void your warranty, then yes, ANY performance modification will void your warranty. Even with no CEL and no tuning, you will still forfeit the warranty unless you have it written in a contract somewhere that it won't. Let me warn you, you put headers on your SS and that thing later decides to have some internal engine problem, and you don't have it in writing from an authorized person, then you're on your own. And all the legal jargon, mumbo-jumbo, hoopla, and Camaro5 threads saying the opposite won't help you.

Now if you install headers, and later your water pump fails, then the warranty MAY still be honored. Because the headers obviously had nothing to do with a water pump failing. But you can bet your bottom that when you leave there your car won't be welcome back again. Now I'm not saying any of this to scare you. But if you're gonna start modding, then you'd better be prepared to take on the costs. Because if the dealer decides they aren't gonna honor the warranty, then are you really gonna hire an expensive attorney to take them on? In the meantime, while you're going through all this, your car will be sitting and sitting. And even if you do win and the dealer has to cover the costs of repairs, you'll still have to pay that lawyer. Which may come out to be more than the repairs anyway. SO in my book, yes, headers will void your warranty.

They have to PROVE that the mod you did caused the failure, otherwise they have to honor the warranty.

Look very closely at the writing on your service contract...which you signed. Many people fall into thinking that they have to prove the installed item caused the failure. But some contracts are worded in a way that relieves them of any obligation if you install a non-OEM part. You have to read it all carefully. Remember, it is a signed contract.

My dealer says mine sounds awesome and the service manager asked where I got my headers so cheap. Multiple trips, many services, no problem because as they said headers don't effect power train warranty because they don't modify how the engine works. They laughed that m exhaust and emissions warranty is void though

Yes but just because you just so happened to have a dealer and service manager that are cool enough to look past it doesn't mean that is the standard. There are people who have had their warranty denied for much less. Like I said, your service contract is a contract. And every individual person needs to look over theirs and decide whether it is worth the risk or not. You got away with it, another person at another dealer might not be as lucky.

That's because there isn't a yes or no answer. It's a "depends" answer that is answered in MANY of those threads that he would have found IF he had searched.
