Question Need a lil help On air intake decision.

I plan on buy a Cold air intake with in a couple weeks and i cannot decide between the many that are offered on here but there are some that have stood out above most. The C.A.I brand one looks the best and from what i have read is very popular and seems to perform the best, but the draw back is that it seems to be about 100 bucks more exspensive than others in black powdercoat. I also like the roto-fab as well looks good and can custom it and offers a dry filter option and price is pretty good same with the BBk good price and looks good. But Is the Cai one worth the extra money over a rotofab or bbk. I would like a lil advice from the wise people on here.

Definitely go with Cold Air Inductions. It has a ceramic intake tube to keep the air cooler. The glass box top looks sexy too for car shows. Also, you can get the ADM or Apex air scoop that will help direct air flow to the intake. JRE has done dyno test and their results show that Cold Air Inductions with air scoop is one of the leading intakes with the best hp gains.

The Halltech Yellowjacket was tied with CAI for the highest gaining CAI's and it's priced cheaper.

I am really happy with my K&N and so are many others on this forum. It's an awesome piece and noticed a difference in sound and performance immediately. You can really here that WOTTTTTT. Look into them and for around $300.00 i think us the going rate, they are hard to beat.

What works on the dyno and the real world are two different things, if it was me I'd go with the VAraram, and of course the tuner version. My brother ran a 12.4 with an L99 and full bolt ons and that was pretty impressive to me being such a heavy car and it be his very first run at the drag strip lol

I would not be too interested of something that is "nice" or how it's "packaged". I would want something with good customer service (if I needed it, but highly unlikely) and something that "performs". Period

That's a big +1 from me.

If you do decide to go with the CAI, I would recommend ordering from a 3rd party reseller and check first to make sure they have them in stock. The CAI intakes are so popular this time of year that supply doesn't always keep up with demand. They're definitely worth any wait though...

All of them will be an improvement. Some will look better than others....some will cost more....some will perform better with a tune.
Keep reading and researching, then pick what is best for YOU.
I picked up 21hp and 19tq with a Halltech (hood up and hood down on the dyno).

I went with the AirAid. Works pretty well for me, but doesn't get the respect because of the design. The box is sorta funky looking. Whichever you choose, enjoy!

Wow alot of nice responses, I forgot to say is that i need something that is pretty easy to install as well im not super handy with tools and mods, And not a great fan of Oiled filters cause i know ill mess up when clean and reoil time is up. I also have more mods planned as well Vmax ported TB that i am in the process of ording and exhaust and of course a tune stupid AFM is quite annoying. I plan to go Frost Tuning. Im also debating on getting Long tubes or aftermarket wheels cause i know i dont wanna drive the Pzeros at winter time.

None of the intakes mentioned are difficult to install, so that shouldn't be a concern. Also any of those intakes will work well with your future mod list. If Frost is doing your tuning ask them what they recommend as they've seen how well different cais perform.

Just know that if you start asking different tuners, they each have a differing options on this. The top ones that I can think of though is Roto-Fab, Halltech, CAI and Vararam.
