never done one in a neon...but it's usually as simple as...disconnect the wire(s), unbolt...drink a beer...bolt in new unit, reconnect the wire(s). Might want to disconnect that battery first as well.

The hardest part is usually getting your hands in there to work...but that depends on the car.

The standard procedure is to drink at least 3 more beers than this recommendation.

It varies by car. But you're right, for a Neon, you'll probably need about 4 beers.

yep, 4 beers sounds about right. You'll need the two leftover for when you think you finished the job, get in the car, turn the key and nothing happens. Drink the 2 beers, scratch your head a halfway through the 2nd one and you'll remember you hadn't reconnected the battery cable.

no you need a 5th beer to pour over the big cut on your hand because working in the neon engine compartment is sure to hurt!!
