PCM tuning question
If I were to buy another PCM, would it have to be flashed for the VIN ? Or could I just install it and load a tune ? Wasn’t sure if they were vin locked

can't just swap an ECM... it needs to have your VIN, needs to be synced to BCM, and TCM if you have an auto transmission, other modules, etc...

what about the engine hours on the speedometer ? if i put a another ecu ??
the hours are not transferred from the ecm to the speedometer, so if you have installed a used ecm, it has a different running time than the speedometer or not ? edit : sry i was talking form camaro 6 i see im in wrong forum sry but if anybody can answer my question that will be nice too thanks guys for your support |
