Nope. It used to be 666, but they renamed it for the moral majority...

Good choice, just did part of that route this past December.

20 miles south of Monterey was a landslide and I had to take 101 until the cutoff to San Simeon by Hearst Castle. So I missed Big Sur which is enough distraction to go in the ditch at 25mph.

That is a great route, I did it from Oregon down Rt. 101 to Rt 1 cutoff in San Francisco. I made it all the way to San Diego.

I live out in the sticks and I pretty much have an endless choice of routes I can take and every one of them is nice and twisty/turny, I actually enjoy my drives to work and really look forward to them. One day I may get me one of those Go Pro things and film one like that, other than that I guess I can probably get a mount for my DSLR and do like a time laps or something like that.
I will definitely do that!

Funny you say that, this video was shot on a flip ultra HD recorder. Now, the shaking (not just road noise but the mount wasn't fixed as best it could have been) and the lack of light downgraded the video a bit. It can shoot in 1080p, but this was shot at 480. Did I mention a flip can be had at half the cost of a go pro?

I also use a Nikon D3100 55mm lens to shoot HD video, I just havnt figured out how to mount it in my car!

Went home via Reche Canyon Drive from Moreno Valley, CA towards San Bernardino, CA. It is a fun sweeping turns 2 lane road. Perfect for the drive home.

Here is a video of a Camaro cruise I did with the local group. Make sure to choose 1080p. The video is 4x the original speed.
