What happened to my wires!!!??

Just noticed this while detailing my car.l..l.

I picked it up a month ago, was bone stock to my knowledge, now just has an intake.

The rubber is gone and went straight to the wire. I taped up each with electrical tape. Was this probably mice or something? The car runs fine, no engine codes or misfires, and runs quite strong at that.

Maybe tree rats, aka squirrels.

Those are def mice chewing on them. They love wire insulation for some reason. Was prob done during winter storage.

If you have it parked in a garage just throw some moth balls inside to keep them away.

Personally, if they were chewed all the way down to the wires, i'd cut them and resolder with heatshrink.
