New here, question about shift knobs

Howdy! Just purchased my first mid life crisis dream car, a 2015 black 2lt v6 manual (I'm turning 41 but I look 28 so in some ways I fit it well LOL). I am slowly (income driven) adding little pops to the vehicle; you know, tinting, accessories, etc. I'm really interested in replacing the shift knob. I have found a website called EPCO that does somewhat customized knobs and 3 designs that I like.

I understand there's an adapter, as the manual shifters are not threaded. And I will be looking at vidoes on how to do this. My questions are these: has anyone used EPCO before? IS their product good? They are made to order so....and finally, will I be able to use the same boot ring or is there another option?

Also, pointing me to any 2015 videos would be great.

Thanks for the help.

Yes, to all the above. I just had one made for my ZL1. It's best to call them and tell them exactly what you want and what model you want it for. Takes about 5 minutes to install. Congrats and welcome to camaro5.

Here's a link to a thread with the video. Not sure if V6 shift knob attaches like V8.

Also, type 'shift knob removal' in the field after clicking on the search tool above and several threads will come up.

Got mine through Hot Rod Shift Knobs, which in turn got an Epco knob to do the embedment in.

Followed the video linked above and it is almost ridiculously easy. The one thing I found is that the top inch and a half, roughly, of the 2015 shift lever has a flat spot. No idea if it exists on any other model year.

A little 3M tape there filled the empty spot that would have existed in the shift knob because of this flat spot. As the securing point is only a single screw, a slight clicking noise resulted from hard shifting, before I added the 3M tape. After, no clicking noise.

Was quick easy mod, and 7000 miles later, zero complaints. Personally, like the feel of it better than I did the OEM, but that's pretty minor. The look of it, I like tons more.

Thanks to all. I haven't been able to log in as I had some website issues but I'm back on track.

I got my pistol know from and I love it. Super easy to install and gives a much better feel when shifting. It has RS/SS on both sides.

+1 for Epco.

Installed mine years ago and love it. Good quality, easy install, still looks like new and holding up with no issues. I couldnt stand that awkward Hurst shifter I got in my SS. The Epco fixed all that for me. Plus you can customize it anyway you want.

Definitely recommend.

Installed my EPCO 2 weeks ago. I got a choice of black or metal color boot ring. You may need an adapter kit. As suggested in another post, give them a call. That's what I did. I'm a happy customer. Major improvement in looks and feel over the stock Hurst knob.
