You would probrably be better off buying a carbon fiber hood and painting it.

the hoods on these cars are aluminum, i would imaging if someone were to start cutting holes into it the hood may start to develop creases or sunken areas.

You can go with the ZL1 hood, otherwise LG just came out with a hood; ZR28

I was just looking for another hood earlier tonight in the marketplace section, because I am going to do the same thing to let some heat out when racing...

Not LA, but in Ontario, Arts n Letters Signs still has a louver press...dude was Rainbow Louver Company back in the 80's...909-984-8881 ask for Tim.

you looking for a stock hood? I may know someone that has one for sale if he still has it.
Your talking about old school louvering right? I haven't seen that done in years but could be cool. Or just 5 or 6 bigger louvers on each side of the hood. Cant wait to see what you both come up with.

Yup, old school louvers, but reverse so hood still looks flat...If you know someone with a stock hood, let me know, color doesn't matter...

I almost threw up when I saw the price.

Does that hood include a reach around at least?

I have stripes on my hood that I don't want to lose and I think they would look too butchered if put over those slots. I'm trying to figure out a way to either louver the sides or put inserts in the stripes.

I kind of like these, even though [gasp] there for a Ford:

Or something like the ones on this hood, maybe 1 or 2 longer:

And no, not a fan of the Seibon hoods...

I'll have to give him a call and see what's doable. Thanks!

Have you looked into Hines Performance Hex Vents.
They are the vents in the center of my hood.
