What did this guy do to his hood?

I'm driving into my neighborhood and see a victory red coming at me but what is wrong with his hood? When he gets close enough I realize it's a ZL1. I'd never seen one before here in Fort Worth.

I flashed my lights at him and found out he's my neighbor and fellow Camaro5 member, Nightspore68.

Cool car Mike. Hope to be able to check it out better when you have time.

Where at in FTW? Oddly enough, the only time i've seen a ZL1 in person was on the way to the dealership for the test drive of my SS.

I have yet to see another ZL-1 on the street, in GA or TX. They're out there somewhere.

Good to meet you, Michael.

Bulldogge, I've only been here a month, so it probably wasn't me, unless you happeend to go to Moritz Chevrolet last Saturday. I had them install my front license plate bracket. But it looks like you bought your SS in 2011, so there must be another ZL-1 around here.

Funny story about Moritz. I was walking around their lot while they were working on my car. All those bigs trucks caught my eye and of course I had to see what the Camaro selection was like. (It was fair, neither big nor small.) As always I was accosted by a salesman. I told him I was just getting my car worked on but wondered if they had any Z/28s yet. Stupid question because of course there aren't any yet. But the salesman proceeds to tell me there's no such car, just speculation. Furthermore, that camaro5.com causes them all kinds of trouble with people coming in asking about cars that don't exist and may never exist. So I had to inform him about the reveal the GM execs did in NY just a few weeks ago. I don't think he believed me, but he came back later and apologized after he realized there really was an official Z/28 on the way, confirmed in his own company email.

I was impressed with the service department. It was a Saturday and the job took only a half an hour.

I see ZL1s out and about every now and then. Either of you members of Lone star club locally in DFW?? Dealership in Grapevine seems to have there pulse on the Camaro Scene FYI

There are three in the out near where I live, a Black, Yellow, and White one. Weird that a little town would have three running around

I've noticed TX roads have far less traction than GA roads. I'm having to relearn to drive! My stability control never used to come on; now it's frequently blinking at me.

My theory is the roads here are a different material to survive the intense heat.

Not a member. But I think it was their president and treasurer I met @ Big Worm graphics last year who gave me some advice on my SS.
