FS: Z-28 Engine / parts

I am selling my broken Z-28 engine. It has 4400 miles and a broken roller lifter and some scoring on on two cylinders (possibly fixable without sleeves).

Here are the parts in the build:

COMP Cam and lifters (one lifter failed, cam may be salvageable)
COMP Cam Dual Valve spring kit
COMP Cam pushrods
APR Bolts
OEM parts included

I do not know how to determine its value, so I am requesting input and looking for offers.

Selling separately:

FAST LSXR intake manifolds
Nick Williams throttle bodies
Both: $940

Installing new GM crate motor and will put car up for sale once completed (with 3-year / 36k mile engine warranty!)

bummer, original owner car. should just keep it and enjoy it during the 3 yr warranty period then do the heads/cam. Your on-track videos with the car were smooth (obvious you're an instructor)

I will get photos this weekend.

Engine will have everything other than intake and exhaust, although I am selling aftermarket intake and throttle body.

Thanks, but have already gone that route with a bad result, due to one little defective part. To add insult to injury, my Cayman S race car motor let go this past weekend, hence the Z-28 sale. I have been racing / driving since 1970 and never lost a motor and now two!

Thank you for the kind words about the vids. I have instructed since 1975 (SCCA) and am still currently doing Porsche, Ferrari and BMW DE's. Have Porsche National and MSF Level II certification.

My best wishes to you with sale of your engine and car. Shame about the Cayman as well. Numerous friends and family race. Always something with repairs, wrecks, or other hardships relating to the sport. Certainly a passion to continue along with it, other wise the money would truly be wasted (as any non car enthusiast looks at us). Hope the season is good to you from here on out

Hey Ron how many miles on the intake and throttle body? Also, is the manifold ported as well? I typically won't buy used stuff because its bit me in the past, but this has me considering it.

One season on the parts, maybe six track days.

No porting done.
