Looking forward to these changes as well. It's a bit overdue with every other car out there having these features.

I think you right.I believe we will see the HP increase up to 620-630 range on the ZL1 simply because the mustang has that and the new hellcat coming is already saying 620 hp so GM is not going to be the low man on the HP rating one would think. I believe we will see some kind of HP increase but that will be probably the last of it because the fed's will jump in and say enough is enough!!

Interesting,

A power increase would be nice to see and no one buys these cars for fuel saing purposes, but can a car like this survive another 2 to 3 mpg drop? Just wondering. A lot of talk has been made about us never having cars this brutishly poweful again with the new government regulations coming, but I ask where does that leave Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Astin Martin, etc? These cars certainly can't go backwards...Can they?

Makes me mad to see blind spot warning systems on the cheaper 2014 Impala and not the ZL1 in 2014 trim. There must be a reason. Maybe they are saving it for the final year, or somehow they never built the infrastructre into the car from the beginning to accomodate such an update.

I am finally getting one, 2015 ZL1. Would be nice if they had Orange otherwise blue.

This is going to be the last awesome year after this the 2016 become smaller cars. I had considered the new vette but not getting in and out of a car that low to the ground, and not built as solid as a ZL1- 4k lbs of steel.

The ZL1 is the best built and performance car at any price.

It would be nice for sure, but GM has formally announced that there will be no more development of the LS engines after the LT1 direct injection engine was released.
The LSA is what it is forever.

The zl1 is a street, drag and track car, it does a little bit of everything. It may not be as agile as a z28 but with added hp, it may show better numbers than the z28. It will cut some time on the long stretches if it gets a reasonable hp increase. So I am not sure if gm would allow a camaro street car to be as quick as the track ready z28.

That's a very small reason why I sold my ZL1. For that type of $, I think they could have atleast had it as an option.

The engine should be the same, to get to the the low 620 HP range without rectifying a new engine they would have to use the LS9 which they won't because it would bump the price too much. Other than colours I think there will be no changes, but I could be wrong. I would like to be wrong

The ZL1 dragstrip special addition, drag radials come as optional equipment, stock runs low 11s! Built to destroy Dorf and what was that other car?

...like the Vette dropping the ZR1, so shall the Camaro drop the ZL1 going forward for 2016....anyone thinking the 2015 ZL1 having an increase in power < real engine change, mechanical upgrade or addition, tweak or meaningful upgrade> beyond a slight of hand power mod increase they did with the V6 between 2010 and 2011 going forward <which in reality meant nothing at all with no change to motor, just how it was rated> will be sadly dissapointed.

I agree for 2016 the ZL1 will probably be gone, but it may comeback for 2017, just like the Z06 will be back. When ever there is a new model, the first year is pretty basic and then they keep getting better through the life cycle.

As far as a power bump I doubt it but you never know. If you think back to the old LT4 in the C4, it was only offered in its last year 1996, so they may bump. I can dream, I would pay a premium for an LS9 !!!!
