Does anyone else that owns a 2020+ have paint this bad?

I remember some of the early 2016 Mosaic Black cars were not painted correctly. but I've never seen paint that bad.

Could the travel from getting it to Australia caused this?

The 2017 SS he also did wasn't nearly this bad:

I doubt the original paint job was that bad, the paint is full of dealer installed defects, bird poop etching and water spots, none of which is from the factory. The acidic exposure may be due to shipping, but the rest definitely looks "manmade".

The title of the video is very misleading, too. I'm not defending GM's paint quality, but they had practically nothing to do with this specific instance of paint degradation.

The damage was done by whomever touched it (washed with sh!t technique).

Black paint shows everything. The gold fleck in the mosaic black metallic will hide a bit of dust, but not for long and certainly not swirls.

Professional paint correction and self-healing PPF (ideally with a durable hydrophobic on top) is the only practical way to fix it and keep it swirl-free for a long time.

Get the cars out of the factory asap and let the dealers/ warranty
deal with their mistakes...

My 21's paint was surprisingly awesome for a robot in a hurry.
