Master Cylinder brace?
Noticed when I was bleeding the brakes this evening how rubbish the master cylinder mounting is (for a proper motorsport car). Presume it is a carried over part from the standard Gen 5 models.
When your assistant is sitting in the car pumping the pedal if you stand by the engine bay you can visibly see the bulkhead/master cylinder mountings flexing and the reservoir moving. Common problem on lots of cars and normally there is an aftermarket solution for it: GT86: 2017 WRX STI: 2015 WRX STI Mazda RX7 Anyone making anything good for the Gen5 Camaro? Will make something up myself if not... The brakes on the Z are already fantastic, and this mod won't improve stopping power but it will reduce pedal travel and improve pedal feel. |

Worth it for the pedal feel alone. Interested in what you are able to fab up.

I looked into making a brace when I first got my Z. There is no good place to mount it without drilling holes in the shock tower as it is completely solid on the back side facing the fire wall or some elaborate bracketry. I ended up not trying anything as it was not worth the effort in my opinion and I didn't want to drill any holes. I was also thinking about welding an integrated brace to the strut tower brace???
