Cobalt has the gas cap on the passenger side. It makes me weep for the future of mankind that walking 2 extra feet to the passenger side counts as an inconvenience.

I know the gas cap was moved because some people might spill gas on the paint that way. I say anyone who ruins their paint job by spilling gas on it because they're too incompetent to fill using a top located gas cap should be punched in the face and their Camaro given to someone more deserving.

So not that the rear lights are going to stay that way, but if they did it wouldn't be hard at all to convert them to all red. No worries there at all.

What I am worried about are those brakes. If those are what are going on the production V8 model, I will definitely buy some real brakes as soon as I buy the car. Those things are pathetic.

All we can tell about the front scoop is that it is indented. The other one was indented too. It might not be fully cut through. It does look like true duals though.

because it needs to be said every second or third post, this is a reminder that the amber rear lights are Euro and Australian spec taillights... they will most likely be red on the North American production car... the 4th gens had similar lights for cars that were shipped outside of the North American market, so I cannot see that this generation would be any different... and you know they do have to test those lights to be able to make sure that they are ready for production and operate as planned.

keep the faith, folks, keep the faith

also...I just need to ask. Worrys about those brakes (I suppose) are well founded. But Ponder this; Scott, and now Bob Lutz has said that this car is being built with a "best in class" philosophy, right?

Do you have that little trust in GM, and the Camaro team, to think they're going to build a car that can barely stop??!??!??
C'mon,

So TAG, are you OK buddy?
I know, this IS pretty disappointing, I feel your pain man. But, maybe GM just hasn't worked out the mass production details of the top of the line Camaro fuel filler yet? Or, there will always be bondo and the after market
Hope you're OK man, but we're still gonna be buying this awesome machine when they're released.

Thumbs down

Once again, my biggest complaint is the back bumper and those backup lights.

The flush, clean concept rear end is so much better. That lower buldge in the bumper is dumb.

GM, are you listening

Okay, I can't see the first pic, but based on the posts, I'm hoping this is a foreign spec car....since they drive on the wrong side, they get the gas cap on the wrong side.

I love all of those comments about "banging your driver's door" as the pump. Who does that? Are you not careful with your own doors? I mean come on, I've only been driving for almost 20 years now and I have never hit the door when getting out to pump gas.

Anyway, I'll still buy it, that won't change, I'll just have something to bitch about then....lol.

As someone (I believe it was Tag) mentioned, it just seems that one cool thing after another keeps slipping away. Hopefully they leave more than enough horses to herd all those "ponies" currently running lose on the streets and give us some good paint/stripe packages too.

I find myself wondering if all of you are jokeing. I mean there are alot of reasonable concerns being brought out here but really which side the fuel door is on??? This is such an inconvienience? You already got out of the car, walked to the back, slid a credit card in the slot like three or four times before it reads, and walking to the other side of the car is a problem?? I think the car will be like six feet wide not sixty feet wide. I understand complaining about the door on the side of the fender instead of on top as that is a real design different, but the inconvienience of walking to the other side of the car? This must be an inside joke that I missed, c'mon let a guy in whats the joke, what am I missing?

Damn, I love this car. But I have to side with the others. "Booooo" on the filler location, unless it's got to with the location of the car? Not a deal breaker though. Now it we could just get a peek under the hood.(Hint, nudge)

Ever been to the Windy city? I've seen people's doors fly open on real bad wind days and hitting the curb or yellow poles. Strong winds bro.

Speaking from experience with the GTO, I actually like having the fuel door on the passenger side. I enjoy having the ability to open the door as far as I want and swing out of the car fully aware of my surroundings as I exit the vehicle. Plus it gives you an excuse to do a quick once over while you fill up, a ritual that has long since gone by the wayside.

For those of you complaining about the yellow tail lenses and the cheapy looking headlamps, you must be aware by now that these will not be making production. Scott said himself that the headlamps are Squatozone pieces hot glued to the front facia. Have faith people!!!
