Taillights, hood, front bumper cover, rear bumper cover, headlights, but yes, the overall lines of the body remained.

'10-'13 Camaro FTW!!!

really liked the lines of my 66 pontiac tempest hot rod.same basic body as the GTO but no hoodscoop.once i put another motor/trans into it i hurt some GTOs feelings too.the view over the hood of my camaro really reminds me of that car.

Bumblebee and the 2007 Transformers Movie (GM media)

I’ll always consider the 2010 Bumblebee edition as the flagship of the new Camaro because it was the first time I’d seen the Camaro on such a large and beautiful scale. I saw the movie in the theater six or seven times. The last few times….just to see the new Camaro. I’m still like WOW I have one of those! Not a 2011 or 2015 but the first one. An original.

I still get goosebumps when watching the movie and Bumblebee changes from the ’77 to the fifth gen in the tunnel.

Unfortunately the Sunset Yellow color wasn’t offered when the Camaro was eventually released. That would have been some car.

Interesting story follows:

“Camaro lovers will always remember when they were introduced to the most widely anticipated car in recent history. In this first film of the Transformer series, Bumblebee goes through arguably his biggest change. The car starts off as a hand-me-down 1977 second-generation Camaro. The car is anything but flashy, with rust and primer spots, its famous yellow paint covered in patina.”

‘Bumblebee eventually converts into a fifth-generation Camaro. However, this was in July 2007, two years before the Camaro would go on sale, so Chevrolet had to build a one-off running concept for the movie.”

“The vehicle used body panels made from the same molds that were used for the 2006 Camaro Concept, which was on the auto show circuit the year before. The body was fit to a chassis of a Holden Monaro to make it capable of performing in the film.”

“Its starring role in Transformers helped cement the fifth-generation Camaro as one of the coolest cars to come on the market in the following years.”

Sitting here reflecting on conversations the car has brought up with non car people and that's never happened with any other vehicle I've owned.

I particularly remember once at a gas station stop a very elderly ladies face light up with a smile as she recalled her late husband buying one "just like it" back in 1967.

69 Trans Am (VERY rare), then 69 Z/28, ZL1 are still my favorites but, The early 5th Gens captures a lot of that.

The 69 TA in blue with white stripes:

Then white with blue stripes:

First TA ever made:

my absolute favorites...

And here I thought “best muscle body” meant someone was posting pictures of me on the internet again...

Agree with you on the Gen5 being a great looking car. I like my 14 as much as the original look but you are going to tend to like what you bought, so I get the 10-13 love also.

Can’t go wrong with white either...

Now take this for what it’s worth as it’s only my opinion. I really like my SS 1LE but... The Challenger widebody is the best looking muscle car
