I'm wondering if its the blue one. He doesn't get much traction and the guys at EPMP don't prep the track for beans on Friday nights.

It was a black one, younger guy driving it. The track was prepped decently; I was able to lay down a 13.0@110 and I was launching super easy. The c6z kept racing a white and red C5 Camaro and they both would launch way too hard and spin like crazy on the launch.

Interesting! I got about 300 passes on that track and have never seen it decently prepped for a test and tune night. That's cool tho. Maybe they're getting more money this year. I've been deployed foe the past 6 months so.....

Actually, I know exactly what you're talking about. I've done my fair share of passes as well, and it got to the point that I stopped going because the car was losing traction even in 3rd. I was getting afraid not that I was going to lose it, but that I would race someone faster that lost it and came into my lane. Basically the car had more grip on the street that on the strip.

However the past few times it has been prepped quite nicely. A couple Fridays ago it was so damn sticky I had to throw 2nd slowly otherwise I would get wheel-hop like crazy. But yeah, definitely more money; they put up some nice grandstands with much better view just recently.

Trying to get a final determination on who's attending for the Ruidoso cruise this weekend. If you're on FB but I haven't "friended" you, I have created an event that anyone can be added to. And we can start to set up a meet time/location, as well as any other plans. I know a few ppl were going, some were stopping by, and some couldn't attend. I'm going to call the lodge again tomorrow once I have a better idea of the number of ppl/rooms needed to see what discount they can offer us.

Dont know if we will make it up there this weekend or not. We were rear ended while stopped to make a left turn in a left turn lane on Saturday afternoon in Indiana. Back home now. Shellie is still very sore. We are both ok. Car not so much. Rear bumper, diffuser, exhaust, and backup light are damage beyond repair. Not sure on actual structural damage yet. Taking it to get looked at after our follow up with doctor.

Oh no!! So sorry! Definitely worry about you guys first. The pain and real injuries usually show up about now. So hopefully it's just some soreness for you both and nothing else. And hopefully they get your car fixed and there's no structural damage.

We are thinking of doing a BBQ the 20th at our house too (car show has been postponed indefinitely).

Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad you guys are OK. Hopefully the insurance will take care of that soon. I won't be able to go to Ruidoso because I got reserve.

Ruidoso cruise is thus weekend (July 13/14). We head up Sat morning. Hang out, BBQ, etc. and then come back on Sun. So just the weekend.
