Small spacer needed tires are rubbing the assembly.

Had a great time at GLD Wednesday night. It was my 3rd time to the track with the Camaro. Last year my best was a 12.89 and I did top that but not by much, I got 12.82 on my first run of the night. I have Nitto NT05's and last year I let the air pressure down to 26, this year I let it down to 25. I had all the nannies turned off, drove around the water box and then just spun the tires enough to get anything off the tires. All night I was spinning off the line and spun pretty good when it shifted to second. As the night went on it seemed to spin more, even the last few runs when I tried to take it easier on the launch and the 60ft shows that. Any advice to get a better 60ft would be appreciated. Would it help to the tire pressure down even more?

Tim, I'm fitting 18x9.5 wheels up front with 265/50/18 tires. Just a wee bit tight, I need to use a little spacer, do you know what's out there?
Sinergy, you probably need to heat the tires longer for one.

Before the converter I went 1.85 a bunch with Nitto 555R DR's. I ran them between 24 and 30 psi depending on which track and how good it hooked.

I've run my 18" Nitto NT05Rs down to 20 psi but I don't like to that's really saying that my local track sucks that night.

I ordered a small spacer, should have it mid week. I drove around with just one of the wheels on and I could tell it was a lot lighter.
I'll probably raise my shift points a smidge tomorrow and see how they drive on the street. I'd like to maybe hit the track next weekend. Today GLD was 900 DA.

SIN, the 60 is everything for us L99 guys. If you get that down, you'll start going quicker and quicker in ET.
Man if it's this nice out on Friday, I might need to get out to GLD. I should the 18" fronts on, and I did go +1 on my shift points yesterday. Tested 1-2 on the commute in, the on-ramp, was solid. My move to 18's isn't going to be as big of a weight drop as I hoped, new combo weighed in at 57.8 and I had been hoping for 54 lbs. But the wheels look very cool and that's important too. Too bad the spacer shows up Wed, I have to go out of town all of the next day. If I can I'll still throw the wheels on just in case the weather looks good.
