Flowmaster 40's

If you ever heard a Flowmaster 40 on a V-6 Mustang, I must say that it sounds impressive. Here is an example, there are many more:

anyway, I e-mailed Flowmaster to see if there were any plans for a 2010 Camaro kit. Here is the reply:

Hello Greg,

Currently we do not have a muffler recommendation for your 2010 V6 Camaro. As soon as we get the vehicle into our R&D facility we will release a complete exhaust system for it and we will also be able to give you the proper muffler recommendation. Please try back in about 30 to 60 days or feel free to check out the Flowmaster website for further updates.

Thank you for choosing Flowmaster. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,

Alex Ortega

Bottom line, I'm sure that by the end of the year I'm sure they will have something. More time for me to save $$$$

I've never liked exhaust on any Mustang V6, unless it had all kinds of motor work, headers and all kinds of other costly upgrades. The one I found decent sounding is the Flowmaster American Thunder on a Mustang V6 4.0. They're all good at idle, but once you get in the high revs it just sounds goofy. Which is why when you see a lot of the V6 videos with new exhaust they never rev the engine.

I'm interested in seeing how the Camaro V6 would sound though.

That sounds badass for a V6 IMO. I just decided, I'm not buying ANYTHING until I hear what flowmaster has to offer.

I know what you mean. But I'm not a big fan of the Borla exhausts. But right now, with the "hot" car being our Camaro, it will be interesting to see what everybody puts out. My bet is on Flowmaster. BTW I don't work for them

I had cat back 40 series on my 04 Monte Carlo SS NSC. It sounded good. Had a deep tone. I am waiting on what Flowmaster will come out with. I know that it will sound great.

I like the sound of the flowmaster super 44 series. It has a deep rumble to it without being so loud you cannot hear your stereo. I called a local muffler shop here in the Dallas area, and they said they could install these on my SS with no problems. Nice price too, $150.00 ea

Is that a true comparison of exhaust tone? It looks like it was upgraded from single to dual as well. Looks like a complete new exhaust?
