They function like any other set of long tube headers I suppose. They don't have any mechanical function so it's just a bunch of pipes welded together.

This is likely accurate, though I don't know what headers they copied. I tried to compare them to all other brands (those I looked at anyways) and they looked unique.

But Ghost18ZL1 is right, your Camaro is riddled with Chinese components.

Of note is the fact that Chinese steel of the same grade as US steel will be significantly worse quality IMO. I can understand people trying to save money, but buying Chinese stuff just gives our money to a country that actively subverts our security and financial stability. So, I won’t stand on my soapbox since that isn’t what this forum is for, but I hope you’ll consider staying American made if you can.

I don’t have control over what parts GM contracts for overseas. I do have control over what headers and other parts I buy. No high horse here, I just want to support American made, and American jobs.

Texas speed has some nice headers too. I installed a few that are still running good years later.

I got speed engineerings 1 7/8" long tube catless and x pipe kit. Everything fit like a glove, 0 issues what so ever. I was skeptical of the quality with price but I havent found a single reason to complain about them. Other than I wish they supplied the o2 extensions in the kit. The shop that installed them were also highly surprised about the quality at that price point. I have talked to many people on here that have used them and also have heard them say good things!

I’m really interested in them but I need high flo cats where I live and I can’t find a solution to this. Can someone chime in?

To bring this thread back to topic (at least subjectwise) what gains should one expect with a set of headers and the appropriate tune?

Tuned vs headers retuned increase just shy of 20 rwhp.

That’s really across the spectrum, average hp is up about that amount. so a solid two mph at the strip minimum
