You haven't really stated your goals. What's more important? Max power or drivabilty? Going to use headers now or later? Auto or manual trans?
I think Teds cam has a huge split between intake and exhaust duration and would work well in an auto car staying with stock exhaust. But with free flowing exhaust headers and a manual trans I would keep the same exhaust lobe and increase the intake duration then widen the lobe separation to maintain the same amount of overlap.

Bryan, I did state my goals/objectives to Mr. Jannetty yesterday 10:46am:

My goals objectives are:

1. 650-700 rwhp from bolt on components
2. use stock valve train parts where possible to save money
3. durability/reliability, not over-stress the engine components
4. rough idle/chop (cam sound)
5. E.T. in 1/4 mile at dragstrip at least 11.00 6 speed manual ZL1
6. Throws me back in the seat when I stand on it merging onto interstate
7. No head porting or blower porting
8. No custom throttle body
9. Excellent customer service/response from JRE
10. No regrets over choosing JRE and roadrace cam package

Thanks

Still haven't heard from anybody that used that cam.

But I think what you want to meet your goals is
Pulley it up to 14-15 psi boost
Headers
injectors
Boost-a-pump
Drag radials to get you in the 11.00 high 10 sec range
valve springs and push rods
Get Ted to spec you a bigger cam
And a good tune.

I am also finding it curious that not 1 person who has purchased the rough idle road race cam package has:

1. Stated and or provided evidence that their ZL1 has run at least 11.00 ET with that particular cam package and other bolt on mods.

2. Stated that they are completely satisfied with the product and service.

3. Stated that they were mainly interested in the "rough idle" cam sound
as opposed to actual drag strip performance.

Do some more research using other search engines.... Critical decisions like these need in depth research.

Gd luck

If so what type of E.T. are you turning ?
What other mods do you have with this cam setup ?
What type of rwhp/rwtq are you producing
How satisfied are you with BTR stage III for LSA supercharged engine ?

Thanks

Yes, LS1 engines have been around awhile. Maybe check some "technical" sites dedicated to those owners.

I bought the JRE cam kit from Ted, waiting for the time to install it with other parts. I like the fact that it's easier on the valve train than some of the other cams out there. Ted made 844 RWHP with that cam on a stroker motor, I would say it works.

The JRE cam sounds killer as a bonus!

The truth is not everyone who we do work for participates in this site.

JRE has been in business for over 28 years servicing the performance industry.

We are a state of the art full service speed shop with 9 employees all of which have been with me 10 years and more.

If you contact me directly I can provide customer names with they're permission you can talk to yourself.

Also not everyone we do work for races they're car on the 1/4 mile.

Many Just go to car shows and or road race, and or daily drive them.

We can provide the power with reliability, how you apply that power is up to you as a driver.

99% of our customers are completely satisfied, with the amount of customers we handle there are going to be people we just can't satisfy now matter how much we try.

Thank you for your interest in JRE products and services.

Ted.

Good morning LSA376:

According to your drag strip performance stats, you ran 11.57 E.T. @ 122.
Those are very good numbers for the mods you listed for an M6 ZL1

My 2013 ZL1 vert is a 6 speed manual too.

Will you please post your E.T. time slip and or youtube video of your car running 11.57 @ 122 mph

1. Was that with the stock ZL1 camshaft ?
2. Was that with stock rear tires or drag radials ?
3. How much rwhp/rwtq does your ZL1 produce now (without JRE cam) ?

Please post your 1/4 mile E.T. and rwhp stats after you install the JRE
rough idle road race cam so we can see the peformance improvements.

Thanks for your honest feedback.

Thanks Bryan,

The JRE rough Idle Road race special cam makes 650 RWHP on 93 octane with only 11.5 PSI boost, no need for high boost.

I have a Customer in Penn that run only my 75 RWHP tune package with a auto that runs consistent 11.0s

JRE 75 RWHP package is Rotofab Cai, 10% Crank pulley, JRE custom tune on 93 octane.

I have the recipes to go fast.

Ted.

The biggest issue is the driver mod. I need more seat time trying to launch without spinning. Runs with Goodyears. Video is not the 11.5 run but a slower run that night.

OP, you might also try asking around on the CTS-V forum.

I have the mods you are specifically asking about OP, See sig for numbers

I am extremely happy with the set up I had done from Jannetty Racing and it includes the rough idle road race cam. I have not had this car to the track, but it puts you way back in the seat when merging into traffic.

I can email you the exact specs of everything I have if you'd like or I can post them here another time (I don't have them in front of me at the moment)

To answer some of your questions:

1. RWHP figures... 652!
7. Upper pulley size... Stock
8. Lower pulley size... 9.55 (I think that's 18% OD, Ted correct me if I'm wrong)
9. Blower stock or ported snout... Stock

I really like that the blower and upper pulley weren't touched to make this kind of power. As far as Ted and Jannetty Racing goes for customer service. Ted answered all my annoying emails quickly and with detailed explanations on the different options I had and what kind of equipment was necessary for each. I went back and forth with him for a long time before doing any mods and had him write me several estimates with no complaints. They also were extremely professional (his whole staff) and completed my car when promised.
