Want to go lower!

Hi guys!

I have a 2015 2LT V6 that currently has the GM GFX kit and BMR 1.25” lowering springs, and I would like to close up the fender/tire gap.

What set up would you recommend to go lower? How much lower can I realistically go as it’s my daily driver? Any recommendations are appreciated!

You are pretty much at the limit before you start affecting other suspension parts. Did you have bushings timed/clocked when the springs were installed?

Thanks! Yes, they were timed when I got aligned. If I go coilovers can I get over a 2” drop?

Coilovers will allow for a lower drop, 2" or more depending on the coilover, but as mentioned you'll start to negatively affect your steering and handling because you'll be straying too far from the original suspension geometry, inducing more bump steer, reducing wheel travel, limiting possible alignment specs (too much negative camber), etc.

Of course, there are ways around these factors such as a bump steer kit, adjustable suspension arms, coilovers with remote oil canisters, camber/caster plates, etc.
