How would this backup camera be installed?

I just purchased this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H852D49

And now after looking at it - I am not too sure on how the install will go...

The design looks like you would have to drill a hole above the license plate and then get behind there to screw in a nut to tighten it down.

I took off the back plastic siding in the trunk and it looks like it's solid metal and I would have to drill a hole to gain access?

I MIGHT be able to stick my fingers in through the license plate lights? But I don't think I would be able to get it tightened down very well?

Ideas?

Dril la hole and mount it above license plate. run cables inside the car, reverse trigger will be grabbed behind license plate, you need aftermarket radio for it. will not work with oem unless you get gen5diy harness and have the radio programmed to accept a backup camera (mylink only )

I already have everything run but I am not too sure how to mount the camera to the car.

After I drill a hole, I will need to get behind there to screw in a nut to tighten the camera down. How would I do this? Will I need to make a decent size hole to gain access to that space?

Have you thought about removing the bumper altogether? It is not all that complicated, with just a few screws and then a lot of tugging at it. Give you a lot more options on how to mount it.

Unscrew or cut the stud off the camera and use a good double-sided 3m tape.
I mounted my front camera with heavy duty 3m double-sided tape 5 years ago.
