ZL1 Super Charger Knock - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I own a 2012 Camaro ZL1. I am aware that GM has a service bulletin (#13313) out for 2012-2013 ZL1s in regards to a knock/rattle in the super charger.
My ZL1 has a VERY loud knock, rattle and some sort of squeak (as if a belt was slipping) coming from the super charger.
I brought mine to the dealership however they stated that the sounds they hear were normal. I had also provided them a CD with the video of the super charger at idle. (See link) The video clearly shows the rattle/knock throughout however see the time stamps listed below for the most noticable sounds.

Can anyone tell me if these horrible sounds are actually normal???
Loudest noises at:
0:47-0:50
1:17-1:19
1:33-1:36
1:53 (Loudest)
2:36
2:48 (Very Loud)

You'll have to go to a different dealer, until you get the answer you want. You can go to a Cadillac dealer as well ... A "rattle" is not normal.

Mine did the same thing, go to another dealer, SC needs to be replaced.

The super charger was already replaced for this problem. This is the "new" super charger which sounds 10x worse. GM said there are no known instances of a second super charger causing issues.

go take it too a different dealer as soon as you can. That is not normal and should not sound anything like that.

Few years late but, brought it to a new dealership and they replaced it immediately.
