Camaro V automatic -> manual SS swap

Hi Everybody!

I checked through the forum but couldn't see any thread that would answer my questions. I know that swapping a manual into automatic chassis is usually not feasible but I have a specific case at hands.

Long story short, a company imported a Camaro 2SS 2014 manual (lift) to Poland but on place it occurred that although everything seems to work fine, the chassis is completely damaged (it's basically welded of 2 cars...). It's extremely dangerous to drive this car so I don't even try to do that.

It's not that easy to a find Camaro chassis here in Poland but I managed to find a Camaro V6 2010 automatic without an engine and gearbox quite cheaply here. The basic idea is to swap the manual gearbox together with V8 engine, shaft and rear differential into this body. I have all the parts from the imported 2014 2SS but I'm not sure what are the biggest challenges in swapping from automatic to manual and V6 and V8.

Of course I know that we will have to change the computer, electric threads, engine mounts, engine peripherals, actually everything that's in the engine bay etc. and it all seems to be quite easy (the 2010 V6 chassis is empty so not that much work).

But is there anything more that I should remember about? Maybe the chassis of V6 is different than the on from a V8? Maybe the rear differential mounts are different? Do I need to rip off the interior to change the electric cables?

Any advice will be more than helpful since it's really hard to find any specialist on Camaros here in Poland

Thanks for every insight!!

There is a guy on this site that successfully installed an L99 with a manual transmission into a V6 automatic Camaro. It took him a while and he had lots of harness, module, and PCM work, but he did it.
I will try to find his username. He Has some videos on YouTube as well.

Edit: Ok, his username here is Marlon1LS. His Youtube Channel is https://www.youtube.com/user/36memphis and his YT username is Antares Cam. He has 2 Cyber gray Camaros, but one is a cammed SS and the other is the one that was V8 swapped. I suggest you try to PM him and inform him of your plans and ask for any advice or tips.

I would be very interested in seeing how this works out. Please update or make a new post if you get this finished as it would serve great interest to the Camaro5 community.

Good luck.

Hey i got your message.
My swap is Ashen Grey and its also cammed.
The other black one is my buddy Cameron's. He's the owner of the Anters Cam YT.

caml where are you in your build?
Please follow instructions to the "T", else it will be very frustrating for you, especially because you're in Europe and getting American parts and assistance is expensive and difficult.
