Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Well I am finally going away from the Goodyear Eagle F1s. I have been putting them on the car since I bought it so I have been through a couple sets. I have road raced them and they have done very well. Have not had any issues with them but I wanted to try something new so bought a set of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. I know the tread depth is a little deeper on the Michelins so I hope it does not give too much traction. I was already breaking traction on the Goodyears a little to easy.

I'm roughly double your RWHP so I'm never going to really hook but I run a set of the PS4S and they are by far the best street tire you can get short of the Cup 2's but they wouldn't fit my application so PS4S it is. You won't be disappointed.

Great street tire, excellent traction from a stop - excellent traction in the rain. Holds up well to track abuse (road course). Not my ideal track tire but is a good all 'rounder.

In my avatar I'm using the PS4S in stock size for my 1LE. Car needs more tire but it did well with my ham fisted ways. The F1's felt a little more crisp, but as they aged they needed more warm up time, don't work in the wet etc. F1 is a better road course tire for good warm days. PS4S works well when cold, warm, wet, whatever.

Any extra grip will help. I don't drag race so I am not looking for a lot of forward grip. Looking for a little more lateral grip in the corners.
