I didn't think that either but didn't know that about motive. I'm going to call GPI and see what they think in the morning

I guarantee if mine are singing they are going back to my installer. now there are 5 cut gears and two cut gears. 5 cut so ive read are harder to set up because of the taper in the gears.
I wish I could just drive the car to them and leave it and let them do the heads while they have it lol. but my plan is to do the 500 miles and change the fluild and see if it goes away when I go over 60 and cruise if not Im going bite the bullet and send the diff back

Talked to GPI they said to finish the break in and judge it then. They also said the offset bushings carry a lot of noise along with the lpw cover. And I’m so guessing the Pegasus bushings is accounting for some noise to. But I’m only 150 miles away from the 5 so we will see.

Hit the 500 mile mark last week drove the car out of town and it whined Lol but with the solid bushing and etc in the rear I think that is how it’s supposed to sound.

Overall though they work and really well
21.9 mpg turning 1800 rpm at 73 mph in 6th gear with fbo and SS4 cam
The acceleration is very noticeable even coming from the 3.91 the car feels lighter.
But I have no idea what the true trac is supposed to feel like when it’s working can someone give me a little help.

yeah I hit 500 and have whine on the coast side of the gears. I have another problem though. my right axle nut came loose and left the planet! don't know how long it was gone. I see no diff leaks. gonna crank it down real tight this time and listen to the bearings.

For lack of a better description at the moment. The diff will feel like it is locked. It is going to feel a little different compared to an lsd.

The axle nut is torqued to 199ftlbs.

Torque it to spec then stake the nut.

Ths Trutrac is a helical diff and operates similar to a clutch based LSD. It can operate as an open diff and apply power equally to both tires. Since it is gear and not clutch based it can feel more mechanical and have a locked feeling when bias is generated.

Would you say it feels like the rear squats down under hard acceleration

That feeling can happen. You applying equal power to both wheels. No slipping of clutch packs in the diff anymore. It will feel very direct.
