4/9/09 2010 Camaro – Important Delivery Tip
Your customers will be excited to receive their 2010 Camaro at the time of delivery – but please remember it’s important to explain to them all the functionality and technology prior to them leaving your lot. Here’s one quick example:

Camaro will ONLY lock the doors with the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter, door key, IP door lock switch or by manually operating the door lock with the driver’s door closed. With the driver’s door open, the locks will cycle locked, then unlocked if attempting to lock the vehicle. Also, please note the doors will not lock with the passenger door open. This functionality is intended to prevent the driver from locking the keys in the vehicle.

Be sure to review this functionality with your customers, along with all the great technology Camaro offers at the time of delivery. You can reference the Camaro Owner’s Manual and Getting to Know You booklet for more information.

So they've found a way to idiot-proof the door lock mechanism. Nice. I know several people who would greatly benefit from this.

Never underestimate the ingenuity of an idiot and don't forget 1-888-4ONSTAR for quick door unlocks.

no more locking my keys in the car... now i just have to worry about leaving them in the trunk... sigh.

Well, you could get into the habit of locking your car after you're done in the trunk. Then you can open the door and go through the pass through to get your keys.
