Well it's all finished up and it runs amazing. The idle is so smooth now and I haven't even done any tuning yet. I just did the 20 minute break in and now I need to change the oil to some new break in to take it for a drive. I can't believe it didn't even smoke when I first cranked it. When I change the oil (waiting for summit delivery) I'll get you guys a video.

That's my fear. Congrats for getting back on that horse. I'm too old, unskilled and underpaid to survive a series of similar problems! I love those FAST intakes. I could probably handle that mod if I thought my stock engine could make good use of it.

I actually replaced the insulation behind the engine under the cowl and now you can see how old the one to the left and right are but it's way too much trouble to replace those pieces I would think.

I also put the short/race runners in the FAST intake manifold because the piece of metal in the engine destroyed the long runners I had in it. I ordered some new long runners and when they arrived there was one inside the package that was broke so I sent them back. I previously had bought the set of race runners before my first rebuild and the tuner recommended that I take them out and put the long runners back in because the engine wasn't performing the way he wanted it to. I didn't even notice a difference in low end torque but did notice a difference in high end power. After the engine is broke in real good I'll have it put back on the dyno because I'm really curious to see what the numbers are now with the increased compression ratio, prc heads, and the race runners.

And now little things are nickel and diming my to death. Every since I put the new engine in I've been having a slow start again (with all the extra grounds) and my trunk wouldn't open with the button anymore. So my duralast battery was about four years old so I went ahead and replaced it with a new duralast gold again and now the trunk button works again but, still have the slow crank so it has to be the starter I would assume.
