Vararam Surgin - Mass Air Sensor

Okay - so after reading threads on here it looks like my mass air sensor is the reason for all the surging and stalling problems I have been having. I have a single letter "W" sensor.

My question is - do I get a new OEM one from Vararam or should I go and order a JET Performance one http://www.jegs.com/i/JET+Performanc...69143/10002/-1? Would it gain me anything for the $40 extra? Would I need a tune if I changed either?

It would be best to contact Vararam, they can and will give you the correct info regarding this.

They have the right sensors, and you can check what version CAI you have and see if you need to trade it in on a new one.

Ted.

I just save the $$ and go OEM. The sensor "performance" isn't going to change

Just talked to Steve at Vararam and he is sending out a new one today. I look forward to not surging anymore

Heck, maybe I will even see my car run faster than 11.98 - that would be AWESOME! But I won't get my hopes up, that was a excellent run with great track conditions and wonderful 60'

I will post my results after the replacement here

OH MAN!! I can't wait to get her to the track! I put the new sensor in (K21) and it actually started right up - COLD - my car hasn't done that in a long time, normally I have to give it gas and hold it at 1500-2000 RPMs until it is warm then I can go without stalling.

I was able to rev it up and let off the gas - NO STALL

Much more responsive, sounds better - MAN I CAN'T WAIT - too bad the weather sucks here right now :-(
