Can I safely drive 1 hr to a shop to get a tune???

Im torn between email tune or dyno tune?

Now I am thinking about going to a shop and get a Dyno tune and includes a street tune also.

The shop is about 1 hr away.
Can I drive it there without problems if I take it easy?

I have

ID 850's (These are the only mod not installed yet, the shop will install them when I get there)

Already installed
9.55 lower pulley
Cai (Cold Air Inductions)
Afco cooler
Roto fab ic resevoir
TR71X Plugs
Catch can
Lt headers
Hiflow cats
Bap

Thanks

Which cai is it? If it's a rotofab you should be fine as long as you stay out of boost but other intakes may skew the maf more, I haven't dealt with others on this platform.

Ask the shop for a basic tune and then they can dial it in when the car arrives.

Once you change your injectors you have to tune the car.

Or just bite the bullet and get a flat bed tow truck to deliver the car.

I know I need a tune after installing the 850's in order for it to start and run, thats why I am having them install them at there shop

They dont do email tunes for handhelds, I think they just flash the pcm.

Trying to avoid a hefty towing bill or else I would have installed the injectors and had it towed.

If you get into some boost you will run the risk of leaning out due to lack of fuel...

Can you safely drive to the shop? No ... Can you risk driving it to the shop without damaging your car? Yes

You are going to throw cel codes for the LTs

I maxed the duty cycle of stock injectors with a 5% pulley and cai ... you are running a 22%

If you just drive normal and not get on it you'll be fine.

Take the blower belt off and drive it. For added protection against undesired boost

Just keep your foot out of it. You'll be fine.

Can your tuner put a base tune on your pcm if you send it in to him?
That's what I ended up doing.
