Do I need a catch can ?

First please excuseme for a stupid question but what is a catch can ? my car has 15000 miles on it so is it too late to put a catch can on ? Does it mess the warranty if I put it on ?

1. A catch can is a device that separates the oil from the vapor before it enters your intake
2. Never too late to put on a catch can, if you want one
3. Properly installed, it should not affect the warranty

You don't need one, though a majority of the members here would disagree. If the car needed it, it would have had one from the factory.

how long do you want to keep your car. look up a rx or elite catch can price vrs a clean job.

Its not a must have item. Many here believe you car will die at 299k as oppose to 300k with a catch can. So many older vehicles with lesser built engines have gone astronomical miles without one. BUT,I do believe the V6 engines, the way they are built, would benefit greater from one as oppose to the V8. It should cause no issue with warranty.
