Difference between solo catback vs axleback

I'm looking for a good system for my L99 ,considering solo because I don't want any drone .which one are you recomended catback vs axleback .Is the catback much louder than axle back or something behind it .I want it louder than stock but NOT too loud

Can't help other than to say I plan on the axle-back one day soon.

Have you eliminated AFM yet? You may want to think about that, as it will probably be more annoying than the any drone.

If you can swing it do the cat back system, it will sound much better than just axle backs and not be much louder. For an L99 you can get the Mach-XL with j-pipes to eliminate any drone and might help with the AFM too! I would call Steve at Solo and discuss it with him.

As the names suggest an axle back starts at the rear axle and runs the rest of the way back. The change in sound it a result of the mufflers being replaced. The large stock L99 resonator is still in place to it will still be pretty tame. The cat back runs from the rear catalytic converters all the way to the tip. It eliminates the resonator so it will be a bit louder than the axle back but not obnoxious. The stock cats still muffle things up a lot.

As was mentioned already, you might also want to consider a Range AFM Delete Module to kill the cylinder deactivation. That totally kills the sound when cruising with an aftermarket exhaust system.
