Pfadt here!!
Didn't install them yet but after much research and driving one of my best buddies car I was very pleased.
Also they have put there all in for developing the best comparable ride quality to the stock ride.
That's what sealed the deal for me.

Another thing is.. I have no doubt that Pedders springs are indeed quality as well but from reading dropspeeds thread on his lowering decisions, it seems his main concern was for the track.

I found out Pfadt has linear rate springs that are the closest rate to factory out of all the aftermarket brands available. Looks like I will be switching. I didn't know until reading Matt (dropspeeds) reviews about linear rate springs on the 1LE struts. I haven't road coursed my car yet but I also want to set it up correctly.

660 mm at all 4 corners is the optimum ride height in terms of performance.

Curious to what that product number is? Part number?
I thought pfadt are progressive rated springs?
Nothing about linear on there website.

I thought so too. Now I'm second guessing. I found some info in another thread about spring rates in the suspension section that listed all the spring manufacturers rates, but I can't find any info from Pfadt on their website.

what is REALLY going on here?

BMR is definitely linear on their 1" drop springs with a rate of 220 front and 460 rear.

Just trolling through threads this morning - I know the color of your car is yellow - but with the lighting in those pics...looks kinda burnt orange. Anyway - that's a sweet color, wish it was part of the GM color scheme

Those that have spent time in military service, I know there are many, call rear-first "combat parking" - I'm sure there are many other names for that style of parking. So, for me, because of my time spent in the Army, I ALWAYS park my vehicles rear first.

With knowledge and research you can lower a car, lower the CG and not "go backward" in terms of handling with the correct springs. Anytime you decrease the travel of suspension the ride can be "stiffer" or more firm, but not any slower on track. (Feel free to read my threads before an after the pedders install from the track) Ride is 100% subjective and will vary based on your roads and expectations.

A track prepped Evo will be very different than the 1LE, but you will find the stock 1LE is very capable. My 2005 track prepped EVO VIII that I raced in NASA ran a best of 1.27.1 at Grattan in MI. This time was the record in the class there for 3 years. My 1LE with stock pads, tires, etc with pedders springs, brakes ducts and Motul 600 ran a 1:30 flat at the same track and it is about 500lbs heavier.

Bottom line the car is great in stock form and you can retain (I didn't say improve ) the handling with the correct aftermarket springs.

-Matt

That's more what I was referring to, being that it will take a lot to improve on what they have already done. A simple set of springs won't give any track improvements IMO. I take it you had an MR evo? Mine was an rs no power anything no sunroof etc. Much more than 500lbs lighter than the 1le

Not an MR, but no sunroof, HIDs etc. Mine was 3200 w/o driver. My 1LE is 3820ish w/o driver so more like 600+ difference.
