This summer, I had countless comments saying how new my car looks.

- Is this the New Camaro?
- No, it's 2010, 7 years old..
- Wow It looks like a brand new car!

I get that all the time. My '10 SS was built for me on 8/4/09 and I drove it home
August 21 '09. I think the white color has a lot to do with it. Keep it detailed and
it looks new. 44,000 miles on vin #132351.

Outdating, that's a matter of perception. No doubt the Gen 6 is the new & improved version, better on paper (smaller, lighter, more power, yada yada). In some cases too it likely has real world gains on the street. Yet the LT1 with DI technology for all its glory has a dirty side effect that the LS3 didn't. Namely the real issue of valve stem coking, so buyer beware the solution (easy fix) is a good catch can. So if you love your car and plan on keeping it for years don't be a Nancy, put the can on. Your welcome. This scores as 2 steps forward 1 step back in my book. The significant relevance to the 2010-2015 Camaro owners is the reality of the retro muscle car stance of the Gen 5 (aka the 69 look) that will reign supreme for many years. I can't get around to "feelin" the global influences of the current version. It is an awkward design execution of model evolution but seems to have turned into a display of corporate engineering compromises. And while the 1LE & ZL1 are pending my "outdated" 1LE cost 30% less (yes I bought right during last Novembers 20% off sale), out brakes any current Gen 6 SS and remains tops in the head to head lateral grip tests. Perhaps the two Z's will help the lagging Gen 6 sales next year against the other pony competitors once they become readily available.

I gotta disagree with you there. The 1970 1/2 Z28/RS is the best looking Camaro ever.

Ok... Gas on the fire... can we all agree that the Gen6 won't outdate or make any prior gen Camaro look, well, neutered?

I'll take a Gen6 over a Gen4 without thinking twice about it.

Someones having a buying debate in their Camaro brain. I told myself i'd never get a Gen6 over my Gen5 I loved my Gen5 but until you park the cars next to each other you don't get an understanding of what they did. Ultimately the 130k miles and a very nice trade-in helped me make up my mind. I see the 4-Cylinder debate popped up in this aswell you do realize you used to say the same thing about the V6 but let's face it the V6 has a Cement ceiling in terms of what it can attain while the 4-Cylinder Turbo while not a V8 can easily get to and surpass the stock V8 power well under what the Gen5 V6 had to do to even get close. But everyone has their preferences and I will never get caught bashing the Gen5 as looking dated 20 years old is dated not 10 get over it.

Are you talking about the Camaro only or the Trans Am as well? Cause I would take a Trans Am WS6 over my 5th gen in a heart beat. Love those cars, and I would certainly take either 4th gen over the new 6th gen. Dunno if you've sat in one, but to me it feels like they took away 1/3 of the 5th gen windshield and that's kind of important to have that view outside.
