14-15's take significant styling queues from the 69 Camaro which is arguably the most popular Camaro ever. |

The gen 1s looked dated when the 70s were released but doesn't mean I don't still want both. The gen3s were just ugly.

When I see the 6th gen coming up behind me on the highway, it looks good and mean.
Then as it passes me I get the side and rear views, and it looks so bland compared to the 5th gen. Too square, no muscular fender flares, doenst have the agressive hunkered down look of the 5th gen. I'll say it again: too much modern sports car, not enough muscle car. Of course the driving dynamics make up for it, but they could have made a more distinctive design from the front fenders back. I also prefer the quad tail lights of the '10-'13 rear end over the rectangle '14-'15. |

"The 5th gen is the '55 chevy of current cars" The most sage thing ever written on the forum that will become more prescience as time goes by.

The worse though in my opinion are 1974 - 1981. They are terrible looking. Though gen 4's don't do much for me either. |

Perhaps its not the difference between the 5th and 6th gen camaros that I notice, but the similarity of the 6th gen to many other new cars on the road. When the 5th came out it was unlike anything else. |

The 6th gen will fade into obscurity like 4th gen. I acknowledge that it is a better car in power and handling, but the appearance is too mundane, it looks like an up level trimmed Hyundai. I require an aggressive muscle look from my muscle cars. They don't need flashy lines or trendy styling. I owned a 79 but considered it more of a sports car due to the body lines. Muscle cars IMO are unrefined, raw power. I don't feel that way about the 2nd gen, 3rd gen, 4th gen, or 6th gen. First and 5th stand out as pure muscle to me.
