ho is absolutely correct as to the bolts being designed as "one time use". I did read (a post from Pedders) that the race teams would re-use the bolts if new ones weren't at hand when needed. He give a torque of 166 ft-lbs as what they used. I re-used the bolts since I will be installing the Quantum brake cooling backing plates within 2 weeks and didn't want to waste new ones for a limited time use. In my case this is not a DD car and I won't put many miles on the old bolts so I felt it was worth the risk. That said, the bolts look like standard bolts and not the necked down versions usually associated with "torque to yield" joints.

After googling I see on both the ZL1 and CTS-V they are in fact on top. Might have accidentally put them on the wrong sides lol.

This is really a great price... Couple questions to the guys that did this already.
Any other modifications to the car necessary? Is their any reasons to change the rear brakes on an SS? I read through the whole thread and it sounds like there is no reason... Am I correct?

I bought a full set of CTS-V calipers just so I could have them painted w/o taking my car out of commission. I bought a full set of rotors for the same reason. That is the only reason I can think of to do anything more than just the front. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
