Urgent!!!! Bolt broke

I was reinstalling my intake manifold after painting it and when I went to torque the bolts on two broke. So now two bolts are stuck in my engine I've tried extracting them with a extract kit from Home Depot the tools just broke. Can anybody help me out I need them out and I feel like I've tried everything besides taking it to a shop.

You do know the torque on those is only 18 ft lbs right. This is not much. Did the bolts break off way down inside? Can you see any of the bolt?

So you are using an easy out tool. Which is drilling a hole into the bolt and then turning what looks like a drill bit into it and reversing it out?

Are they completely recessed into the block or is any part of the threads sticking out?

A broken bolt like that will have no stress on it at all and if any of it is showing you should be able to turn it out with your fingers. Using a bolt extractor on a steel bolt in an aluminum head... well you know now.

The torque specs are 104 inch pounds! That is 8.66 foot pounds. That is why they broke.

Nothing is sticking out at all I wish I can show y'all but rather not take apart unless I'm getting it out. Lol it's leveled right in there not too far in there but in there enough I can't grab it with my hands.

Oh I was told 18 pounds and the instructions for my black ice said 18 pounds. But you could be right. Just don't understand where people are getting the 18 pounds from because that's what's everybody is doing it at.

Not sure where you got that from but it is 18 ft lbs.

If you take it apart can you get them out thou, that is the question. Also, there are different length bolts, by chance did you run the wrong bolt into the wrong hole and it bottomed out and broke?

I realized there were different lengths when i was installing my manifold after painting. I put a bolt with longer threads into the wrong hole and it bottomed out. Luckily i could feel the difference since i was hand tightening them at the time. I always recommended to hand tighten all the bolts first and then slowly tighten them to the desired torq slowly and in a pattern to try and avoid any warping and strane
